Mel is a Los Angeles-based marriage & family therapist, peer support worker, and community facilitator with a focus on neurodivergence, trauma, non-monogamy, and complex family and relationship dynamics.
As a queer and neurodivergent therapist, I don’t believe in a default ‘normal’ experience (or person)! In our work together, I prioritize creating a non-hierarchical and collaborative therapeutic relationship where I set aside any assumptions and learn about your experience from you so you can feel truly seen, heard, and held as we navigate the world together. I want to help you center your own autonomy and authenticity in all aspects of your life, and I bring 12 years of experience in the mental health field, a lifetime of lived experience, and a strong commitment to radical and transformative mental health work and anti-oppressive practice to support you through this process.
I am also a community consultant and workshop facilitator with values strongly rooted in the radical mental health and mad liberation movements, and I am available to conduct workshops on anti-carceral crisis response for mental health providers as well as interpersonal conflict resolution.
